Award-Winning Architectural Designs Recognized by OAA

The latest edition of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Design Excellence Awards has concluded, and the Canadian Architect has revealed the esteemed winners. The OAA, a regulatory body for architects in Ontario, established this awards program to celebrate outstanding design achievements across the province. Notably, buildings designed by Ontario-based architects from anywhere in the world are eligible for submissions.

This year, a jury of design professionals meticulously evaluated over 100 entries, ultimately selecting winners based on their creativity, contextual relevance, sustainability efforts, and positive contributions to the community. Notably, sustainability remains a key focus area for the OAA, and all winning submissions must include data on their energy consumption. We’re thrilled to announce that several of RForm’s valued customers were recognized for outstanding work! Their dedication to pushing boundaries and crafting exceptional architecture is truly inspiring. Let’s explore the award-winning projects by these innovative firms.

1.      Diamond Schmitt Architects is mentioned as receiving an award but not a winning one. They were involved in designing the David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center (New York City, New York).

2.      Moriyama Teshima Architects is a joint venture that won an award from the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). They are recognized for their work on Place des Arts in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.

3.      LGA Architectural Partners Ltd. is an award-winning architectural firm that designed the Toronto Public Library—Albert Campbell Branch.

4.      NORR Architects & Engineers Ltd. is one of the firms that won an award from the Ontario Association of Architects for the Ontario Court of Justice Toronto project.

5.      KPMB Architects designed the Center for Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University

6.      SableARC Studios collaborated with Baird Sampson Neuert (now part of WF Group Inc.) on the project of the Canadian Centre for Climate Change and Adaptation (St. Peter’s Bay, Prince Edward Island).
